It’s Fein, an Explanation

Updated: Sep 23, 2018

I’ve been writing this blog for awhile now, and I feel I should explain the meaning behind the blog namesake. The phrase actually came about from some coworkers. We had a group chat, and I responded to a message with the typo “it’s fein.” Naturally, the loving round of mocking my mistake ensued and we all got a good laugh out of it. Essentially ever since then, whenever something goes off the rails or havoc breaks loose at work, we turn to each other and have an outburst of frustration followed by the phrase “it’s fein” when it most assuredly is not fine.

It’s a small thing that brings us all a little bit of reassurance that we are a team and we do support one another. It recalls a memory that makes us laugh, and when things get tough, laughter and the encouragement of my team is what I need most. This blog is written as a reminder to myself of that time so I can remember who I have standing by me and helping me along the way. I hope this blog can also act as a means of encouraging anyone who is lacking that support and finds themselves saying something is fine, when it’s really not. Please know that there are other's out there, willing to help and support you until things truly are fine again.
